mattes - karussell EP

The songs of this young German band have that intriguing unconcerned playfulness. Following the mainly classic singer-songwriter four-piece pre-production, the goal was to achieve that contemporary pop feel to a certain extent. So we played around with many additional textures and instruments while focusing on organic sound sources to preserve the authenthicity.

equatic vibe - kulathah

in 2016 I was asked to produce an album of this Maldivian pop band. Altough we recorded in a really small room in the dense capital city Malé, I tried to track as much as I could live to capture the energy that was there between the five band members. The blend of Western, Hindi and Caribbean sound aesthetics of their songs is quite unique! 

masheé - cages we built eP

What was actually meant to be just a demo recording for the artist eventually became a full EP production. The energy of the songs and the artist was in the room so we just kept on going and went a bit mad for a few weeks with the instruments, effects and synths in the studio. By the way, at least half of the synth sounds are actually based on samples of Mariellas voice.
